This is a new one for me but maybe not so uncommon? This Northern water snake caught a fish and is eating it. Whole. Contrary to common belief, snakes don't "dislocate their jaw" to eat large prey. Instead, snakes have something called cranial kinesis, which means the skull has MANY joints between the bones so it is highly flexible. This snake managed to catch and kill the fish, and notice how it is oriented head first to go down his gullet - that's a typical feeding approach
